While the incidence of defects in new watches is extremely low, there may be occasions in which warranty work becomes necessary.
The presence of defects in new watches is extremely low as all our products undergo a double control: by the manufacturer and by our technician staff.
In any case we are always available to help you to sort it out, but in no cases can Klepsoo offer extra warranties or other guarantees besides the ones given by the producer.
In our experience, most warranty work requires simple adjustments or battery replacement.
In these case, we recommend visiting a local professional jeweler or an authorized watch dealers who are properly trained to change watch batteries.
The battery replacement is on the Customer charge.
However, in the event of a return under warranty for the watches reparation, klespoo reserves the right to replace or repair the watch at its own discretion.
Please consider that the repair at the authorized assistance service center usually takes
from a minimun of 1 week to a 90-day period maximum.
For out-of-warranty work, an assessment will be provided; approval and payment for repair must be obtained prior the processing repair starts. Please note there may be issues beyond our control, such as holidays, backorder parts or unique repairs that affect actual times.
WATER DAMAGES:
Watches are resistant to water under certain specific conditions. If you use your watch within the water resistance limits specified by the manufacturer, you should get many years of dependable service from it.
For usage, please refer to the booklet where you can find the allowed use.
Usually, every watch shows on the case-back the text regarding the water resistance: 30 meters/3 ATM, 50 meters / 5 ATM, 100 meters /10 ATM.
However, such statements should not lead to think that the watch can be submerged up to 30, 50 or 100 meters without being able to suffer any damage.
These depths (and the pressure) correspond to the limits of the watch kept under static test (laboratory test). When the watch is in movement, in all normal conditions of use, the pressure to which it is subjected can be significantly greater than that generated by the simple immersion. A simple shower, depending on the strength of the water jet, may subject the watch to a pressure higher than the one of a superficial immersion. In practical use, in fact, the pressure at which the watch can be subjected may be considerably higher, also due to other factors, such as the temperature of the water itself. Thus the indication of the number of atmospheres or meters is nothing more than an indication of precaution, according to which:
- A watch water resistant 30m / 3 ATM withstand splashes of rain, body sweat, humidity, splashing while washing hands;
- A watch 50m / 5 ATM: shower (the water temperature rises the pressure), bath, light swimming in pool
- A watch 100m/10 ATM: dives no more than 20-30 meters;
- A watch 200-300m/20-30 ATM: deep-sea diving (in this case, for example diving, we recommend the use of appropriate special tools);
In most of the booklets is presented an explanatory chart of the various uses allowed based on the water resistance of the watch. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to consult the instructions and in no case klepsoo will be required to ensure redress for uses not permitted.
That said, however, WARNING: when the watch is wet or immersed in water you cannot press the button chronograph, if present. In all cases, make sure that the crown is closed and / or well screwed.
Also avoid plunges from elevated heights with the watch for two reasons:
the first is that the pressure upon entering the water may be very high,
the second is that the impact with water, if violent, could even damage the glass.
It is necessary to avoid subjecting your watch to sudden changes in temperature. This is to avoid the natural expansion and inverse process of the materials of which it is composed, as well as to avoid damage to the seals which ensure the impermeability.
The thermal shock deriving from a simple shower, swimming in the pool or in the sea could cause condensation reported by the opacity of the glass or appreciably affect the accuracy of the watch. In such cases it is appropriate to subject the watch to a check by the dealer.
If you notice scratches or lesions in the glass, we recommend the immediate replacement.
Finally, especially if using your watch in water, we suggest you take it to a service center or your dealer once a year, to monitor the general status and seals and you could also require the test known as "waterproof test ".
If the watch were to suffer an infiltration of salt water and it was not possible to go without delay to a technician, avoid any attempt to dry it but rather soak it in fresh water and take it as soon as possible to an authorized technician keeping it dipped, for example inside a glass.
To prevent seals to wear out: do not wear your watch when you go to the spa, or to dive, unless you wear a model which is right for such activities.
